Thread: Boot Problem

hi ubuntu forums,

name barcau nick , have dell inspiron 1545 laptop installed windows 7 on , boot worked perfectlyy ,after same day wanted instal ( today ) ubuntu 11.04.
when press f12 boot options menu appears , select cd-r/dvd-r/... boot , after nothing appeared ,normally message appears 1 "press key boot cd..." didn`t appear windows 7 started... logo it.
mention tested ubuntu cd on computer , worked fine isn`t problem cd burned , useful , can`t change boot order becouse forgot admin password , finaly don`t think need change boot order.. it`s not necesary installed windows 7 without that??? should please help!!!

well, 2 things:

a) try again, maybe after you've left bit. make work me.

b) admin password? have bios password? in case, can reset it. although laptop, suggest getting professional it.

sure cd in drive?

if have tested ubuntu cd elsewhere, thing can suggest contact hardware manufacturer.
