Thread: Cant change permission for usb ntfs shared drive.

have used:

sudo gedit /etc/fstab

and added following line:

uuid=b9709709d876cb78 /media/windows ntfs-3g auto,uid=1000,gid=1000,umask=0022 0 0

i dont remember line have used uuid.

went /media folder , shared windows folder, in permission folder, under others, wont let me change folder access "access files" "create , delete files"

in order me access shared folder on windows machine had restart ubuntu computer otherwise had permission error.

after restart when wont see /media/windows folder did not have 2 arrows showing folder shared.

how can find setting indicate /media/windows folder shared backup ( since how named in sharing setting ) , add permission other delete , create folder , files.
