Thread: Desmume installation problems

hi!

i'm beginner in ubuntu using dual boot pc karmic , lucid, no internet connection.

install desmume 0.9.2 however, after reading readme included in tar.gz file says need install runtime libraries gtk, glade , sdl. searching in file system, find there several files gtk , glade in filenames. think i've got gtk , glade, need download sdl. when download file has name of cpu architecture have website, find rpm file , don't know after that. nor know of architecture types debian should download.

computer architecture i686, , i'm using lucid installation.

nice if give me clear instructions absolute beginner me. thanks!

version 0.9.5.2 in repositories. why not install there?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
