Thread: FoxyProxy sat on a wall... And did nothing!

hello, have been using foxyproxy add-on time now, , falsely led believe add-on prevent websites gaining ip. however, little digging , found not work. apparently, foxyproxy no proxying in itself- makes firefox use real proxy tor. however, when try run tor command line (terminal):

get: tor in use? don't think is. preload tells me running, if is, why not working? know program or add-on prevent websites gaining access ip address? or how tor working?

you can either set foxy proxy use tor or can supply proxies. find proxies on internet want use , put them in foxy proxy. if not intend on switching proxies can in firefox directly without external addon.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
