Thread: I Uninstalled Ubuntu - Now a Grub Error !

hello,

had installed ubuntu 11.04. but, not happy , decieded use ubuntu 10.10.

so, read on forum un-install ubuntu delete partition on is created. so, did that. now, vry screwed.

when, turn on laptop grub error. , unable anything.

tell me how fix ?

do still have 10.10 or intend reinstall it?

if still have 10.10 reboot livecd , reinstall grub - if did have both assume 11.04 in control of grub , deleting partition removed grub.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
