Thread: put my pc on recovery can't login

hi i'm in big trouble can't login when istart pc there's kind of terminal don't know how fix this. can please

please remember cannot see computer, try specific.

  • what did before had problem. e.g., did install new program? did deinstall something? did run updates or upgrade?
  • do have dual-boot computer windows? or did install wubi on computer?
  • when see terminal, prompt (the last bit before cursor flashes)? like, "grub", "root:hanzee:~#", or else?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
