Vector object not scaling proportionately???

i bought new cloud software due thinking cs5 had bug scaling vector objects. bring in vector object , try scale , distorts????? have no clue why files distorting , others not. mind these 100% vector based files?????

sounds "align pixel grid" turned on.

 

turn if off indivdual objects in transform pallet, , uncheck "align new objects pixel grid."

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
