i work school district , want experiment self publishing 21st century digital textbooks.  combination of indesign , digital publishing suite looks ideal.  not want locked apple ecosystem.  goal of project openness , proprietary system apple opposite ofopenness.

 

so $40/month can creative cloud , need except locked in apple system tablets , smartphones or can spend additional $500 month professional digital publish suite.

 

that seems odd spend $500 month publish open platform.  missing or there way go?

 

btw looked @ ebooks support video spotty @ best on android devices (are listening adobe digital editions?).

google play hardly open platform.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
