Error message: no printer is selected. How do I do it in PS6 64 bit

get message that i have to select printer when i try print. then open a new photo and print it. where do choose a printer?

you can select printer printer selection area in print dialog box (file > print). installed printers displayed in list.

are able print other adobe applications? non-adobe applications? if don't see printers installed, you'll need check @ operating system level , make sure have printer connected , can print other applications.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
