How do I pass parameters into local html files using InDesign?

how pass parameters local html files using indesign, or how pass environment info picture html sitting on top of local html files in indesign?  i'm trying use html-javascript code , pass in parms behave differently depending on code placed in indesign folios.  dont know how it.  if read in indesign environment info folio using html or javascript might work well.  please advise, thank you!

you're not being clear workflow. expecting use indesign , choose file > export > html? or using adobe digital publishing workflow? i'd suspect latter because use phrase "where code placed in indesign folios".

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
