hello, have asus eeepc 4gb surf came ubuntu on it. had stupid idea try , install winxp on , slow. decided try , out ubuntu on , having problems getting ubuntu installed on using sd card. tried using pendrive make usb boot , tried unetbootin make usb boot drive.

every time try no matter version choose last version being 10.04.3 can boot , select install , runs okay minute , sudden comes allot of time out messages last 1 reading 0 (/cdrom/casper/filesystem.squashfs , left flashing cursor. kind of new ubuntu installs , have read there problems sandisk sd cards , have , have tried see if limited or restricted says not.

please

sounds me if install image somehow corrupted. did verify checksum of downloaded iso image?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
