Thread: Losing Wireless Connection
i've had issue on 2 separate machines. i'll surfing internet, i'll of sudden i'll lose connection route. gnome wireless applet says i'm still connected , when check ifconfig still have ip. when try , ping router says "destination host unreachable". i'm having issue on toshiba l670 , toshiba nb505. can disconnect , reconnect , working fixes moment. other times won't reconnect. try bringing wireless card down, ifconfig eth1 down, , works sometimes. know why or how fix this. getting frustrating. there 2 other ubuntu machines in house , haven't seen them having issue. , on toshiba l670 in windows i'm not having issue. please help, have go school in 2 weeks , has fixed then.
run lspci , paste results here. need know wifi card is. 802.11n may problem. not 802.11n devices work flawlessly together. of free software supported wifi cards there have been fixes work around of problematic routers though.
verizon myfi routers particular problem. isn't problem specific ubuntu or gnu/linux. have encountered these issues in microsoft windows too. don't use microsoft windows. friends computer.
