the version of privoxy available ubuntu software center 3.0.17-1 latest version 3.0.19.

has updated latest version , simple thing beginners?

go link below , choose file need. when downloads should ask whether want save file or open in ubuntu software centre. use software centre. display message being later version 1 in centre, ignore , install anyway.

did not have option in menu launch did launch terminal typing privoxy , hitting enter. here ran error missing configuration file. assume fact said wanting update have installed think have required config file.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
