(11.10) how 11.10 fix resolution if can't see , there no safemode?

after installing jupiter tested different screen resolution (lenovo b570) , screen went dark. bottom line, every time login goes blackscreen.

there used different login options on main login screen, including root session, not exist anymore. i'm worried i'm screwed!

hold down shift key while system starting bring grub boot screen , boot in recovery mode .

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
