Thread: running from USB set up problem

hi! i'm new forum, , ubuntu.

trying learn running v 11.xx usb instead of installing pc running win 7.

"problem" many of settings not being saved. bookmarks in firefox, mail accounts , settings in mail, etc. and, stuff have downloaded.

so, how "set up" ubuntu saves "stuff" usb flash drive running from?

previous downloads, etc saved somewhere on pv hardrive, though booted , run usb drive, , if so, where?

anticipated acceptance , help.

want migrate ubuntu win 7, not before i'm totally comfortable.

hi, no did not save them hard drive.

when created liveusb did make persistent? , did use create it?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
