Thread: Samba shares

i have installed ubuntu after using mandrake/mandriva since version 7, 2011 spring proving bit of pain.

ubuntu desktop 11.10 installation went well, different mandriva.

right, down it. need access ms pcs - xp , 7. have installed samba, when go 'network' 'wokgroup' comes error; 'failed receive share list server'.

bt homehub 3 recognises ubuntu machine , asigns ip address of 192.168.1.66, in right range. windows machines not list ubuntu , nor bt desktop help.

thank in advance.
