Thread: scanning doesn't work with epson stylus TX420W
hi, scanning doesn't work (usb or wireless) 'all in one' epson stylus tx420w. i'm using ubuntu 10.04 , have installed driver (epson-inkjet-printer-nx420_1.0.0-1lsb3.2_amd64.deb) avasys at
http://avasys.jp/eng/linux_driver/do...n-inkjet/escp/
i'm running ubuntu 10.04.
printing works fine. xsane detects scaner when pressing scan button says 'error during read: error during device i/o.' , not doesn't scan leaves printer/scaner useless (the leds in printer/scaner blink, can't used other computers , doesn't respond other buttons besides on/off)
scaner works fine when using ubuntu 11.10 (at computer). driver installed in computer 1 suggested ubuntu when detecting printer/scaner, think driver different 1 downloaded avasys i'm not sure (how can check driver installed?)
in advance
well i've partially solved problem scanning. uninstalled epson related packages, , downloaded , installed modules:
esc/p-r driver
core package&data package
network plugin package
http://download.ebz.epson.net/dsc/se...h/searchmodule
every time start xsane select epkowa backend.
can scan when connected via usb. wireless scanning not work.
