Thread: Ubuntu 11.10 - Reinstall leads to blinking cursor
hello all,
here's story:
few days ago took plunge remove windows 7 , replace ubuntu 11.10.
had few errors during install including acpi errors , blinking cursor think did tweaks , fresh install (from usb) got me going.
today made know see mistake , reinstalled 11.10 felt made few mistakes , wanted start fresh.
install went fine then, towards end went off drink , come find computer off, knowledge installer ment reboot.
now, when boot computer comes black screen , blinking cursor; holding shift not working.

hello! welcome forums! sorry hear you're having problems.
first of go bios , check default boot device hard drive?
if not change , try again.
failing this, out live usb or cd , boot can find out more system.
once in live environment go terminal pressing ctrl+alt+t, enter following command
the -l little l btw.code:sudo fdisk -l
in reply highlight text , click on # symbol @ top of reply box![]()
