Thread: Unable to add music to iPod Touch with any music player. Tried everything I've seen.

i've been unable add new music ipod touch since switching ubuntu, , i've looked on answer, i'm still clueless. i've tried banshee, gtkpod, rhythmbox, (most recently, after advice read on forums tonight) clementine, , maybe other players, , nothing works. i've tried i've seen here, , no luck. seems there's problem ipod mounting (it doesn't appear on desktop, , of music players give error message mounting,) tried installing libimobiledevice reccomended here, doesn't seem have helped.

using rather old ipod - 1 of first ipod touches (that's somehow still working.) source of problem?

have no idea why isn't working. honestly, know have lot learn , i'm not giving information work with, if there's need me can help, please let me know.

some devices let change way announce system. possible within ipod? i'm guessing it's in 'mtp' mode - try changing 'mass storage device' or that.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
