i understand why oracle’s sun java jdk packages removed ubuntu partner repositories , disabled on users systems. however, many applications , web sites not function using openjdk-6. know can manually install sun-java, prefer installations via canonical. understanding openjdk-7 available via canonical. there earlier quote, “oracle using openjdk basis own future releases.”. mean openjdk-7 fix incompatibilities between sun , openjdk?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
