just loaded reader on new hp eny laptop , attachments opened not clear , light.  assume compatibility issue , went default setting when should have been customized, , selected, based on visual of content.  unsure how go , that.  can help?

not sure mean "attachments" - email attachments?  email client, on operating system?

 

if open emails in browser, browser?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
