Mac: Any way to hide the temporary .idlk files?

hey folks --

 

i'm not sure if has been cleared in later versions, in ind cs3, when file open saves temporary file in same place. seems me in every sane application, temporary files tucked away , nicely hidden somehow. there preference or in id change this? don't think it's os thing, because i've turned "hidden files" on , off in finder no change, so...

nothing's changed. indesign lock files , prevent second instance of file being opened.
