Thread: Can't connect to any network

i installed ubuntu 10.04 on notebook (emachinesc e510), installed minimum of programs needed, worked fine, connected internet, until few days ago.. started notebook , internet wasn't working.. i've been connected on wireless network (a router in own home).. tried connecting android phone on network, works fine.. thought click on little wireless button on right upper side of screen gone, doesn't appear there anymore.. tried connecting router trough network cable, still nothing.. can problem be? it's first time work ubuntu or linux.. didn't anything, sat on facebook, gyachi , youtube.. , worked fine 3-4 days..

if right-click on greyed wireless icon, should check first option "enable network" (or similar name). should able connect wifi.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
