Thread: GRUB2 Dynamic Defauls

i'm building system uses ubuntu native os boots via virtua box windows 7 partition (using hardware profiles), unfortunately when booting vm throws grub2 boot loader, selecting windows partion works fine default selects ubuntu partition load (i.e. host os), can imagine trying boot partion causes "bad things(tm)" happen, no timeout on boot menu it's little easy select accident.

there anyway grub2 (via similar hardware profiles type method) default ubuntu if booting "real" machine or windows 7 if booting vm?

work around set default windows 7 grub2 solution more "elegant".

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
