Thread: Need to execute commands on login?

hey - i've spent better part of day getting wireless working on old inspiron 5100 friend gave me. using ubuntu 11.4.

anyway, won't bore gory details, once i'm logged in, need go terminal , run:

sudo modprobe -r b44
sudo modprobe -r b43
sudo modprobe -r ssb
sudo modprobe -r ndiswrapper
sudo modprobe ndiswrapper
sudo modprobe b44

once that, wireless , wired connections work perfectly. suggested me add commands etc/rc.local. tried them , without sudo no luck.

came solution thread: http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-780719.html

tried b43 fw cutter solution before ndiswrapper 1 , couldn't working, if anyone's curious on background. now, though, i'm happy current solution if automatically run commands @ login.

thoughts? y'all!

add commands ~/.bash_profile or .profile files , execute once shell spawned (logging in).
