Thread: QtSDK libraries - dependencies

hello,

i'm using ubuntu 9.04, , trying install v4l2ucp package .deb. says "error: dependency not satisfiable: libqtcore4 (>= 4:4.6.1)". libqtcore4 installed on system (i can see in synaptic, version 4.5.1).
qtsdk installed on system (the latest version), downloaded "qt.nokia.com/downloads/", through internet installer, , has latest libraries. qtsdk installed in home folder. install not visible in synaptic.

possible create symbolic links or something, resolve these dependencies?

know, should update kernel , everything, unfortunately have many things running , working on computer, lose 3 days make functional again. (that advantage of linux, crashes, while works don't touch it).

your library package version not date hence error message, , ubuntu 9.04 no longer supported, think going find difficult v4l2ucp package working.

may possible, suggest, make links appropriate files in /home folder, same place in filesystem old, current versions of libqtcore4 files, bear in mind break other packages depend on current older library version.

things considered, if v4l2ucp package important you, suggest distro upgrade perhaps 10.04 version of ubuntu best answer.
