Thread: Ubuntu install hangs at black screen

hello,
im sorry if over-asked or stupid question, iv been @ day , have ran out of ideas.

im trying install ubuntu on laptop. has amd quad core 64bit processor, , amd radeon graphics, whenever try boot unetbootin or livecd, load minute go black screen, getting no power. secondary monitor. iv tried multiple installs usb , cd, , still no luck. simple fix im not noticing, appreciated. wanna installed lol.

please refer instructions in sticky:
sticky: [all variants] graphics resolution- upgrade /blank screen after reboot

goto first-half of post #3...

should install graphics. (if not tell me.)

after install-
temporarily editing grub menu boot options
then, after booting desktop, go additional drivers install driver. if don't see driver, open terminal session ,

code:

gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

and uncomment 2 "conical partner" lines, save , exit.
