Thread: What is the "S" column of chkconfig?

can tell explain 9th column of “chkconfig --list”. shows op “s:on”.

other columns such: first column name of service; 2nd – 8th (runlevels 0-6) columns run levels. of them such service, apparmor have 9th column (s:on).

in advance information on this. did research. far information can find on chkconfig shows how list, add, delete or set run levels on or off such as:

code:
chkconfig --level [0123456] [service] [off/on]
-- l. james

--
l. d. james
ljames@apollo3.com
www.apollo3.com/~ljames

that single user mode, without stopping of existing processes first. run level 1 single user mode, stopping or starting lot of processes.
