Thread: writing onto a media player hdd from ubuntu pc same lan

hi everyone,

situation: want buy advanced metworked media player himedia or so, question is: supposed media player got nfs , samba services can (inside same lan) download files ubuntu netbook directly writing them media player internal sata hdd?? how? mounting smb://192.168.0.x or whatever?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
