Indesign CS2 print to PDF breaks transparency in Placed PDF

ok, i've got third party pdf pasted in document need print pdf, , when printed pdf there's big white box's on color background around every word shado, many pointed star shadow effect.  sudden unstranspaency effect doesn't appear in indesign document, pdf of indesign document, , appears both when print pdf distiller , when export indesign.

what cause , can fix it?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
