Thread: Couple of Unity Questions

sorry if comes across negative i'm trying make work.

need upgrade 11.04 or 11.1 , having trouble unity. want make seemingly simple changes not able figure way. have read can switch gnome 2 or 3 don't see option in login.

want show list of running applications along bottom of screen. not macintosh ui style of stuff along top. menus apps go, not desktop or task bar.

here's how desktop looks - notice have wintendo running (doing vb6 work on old application) tasks @ bottom. don't want lose real estate massive ugly launcher on right.

launcher along right way big. if i'm going stuck such beast @ least let me make smaller. where's teh menu item resize it? i've been through settings , don't see it.

with unity 3d there settings in ccsm > unity plug-in allow icon size change , other settings included .

have seen posts regarding removing global menu , web / forum search on subject . post partially unreadable due screen shot size , can't read @ full screen .
