Thread: Netatalk - can't browse shares

i using ubuntu server 11.10, running compiled version of netatalk 2.2.1.

afp server working ok , can connect shares mac going go -> connect server type:-

afp://ipaddress/sharename

prompted username , password , let in , can see share fine!

if leave off share name in connect server box asked username , password , told no share's available.

have 2 shares have access to, can manually connect to.

how can list of available shares show?

thing can think using acl's? compiled netatalk acl support , once connected acl's working.

ideas gratefully received.

did install , configure avahi?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
