Thread: Screen is flickering wothout any reason?

i have issue desktop computer's screen. lg 520si studioworks. it's screen changing brightness without kind of command. screen became black moment(1 sec) , after screen resolution changed little extent(icons seems little bigger). happening once in around 2 3 minutes more frequent.
screen behaving amazingly;

last night amazing thing happen it, @ around 12:30 ; have closed computer(power cables still attached) on bed(going sleep) it's screen became green/red(changing color) seconds. scared little bit. after pull out external power cables. such phenomenons occur today;

can remove problem.

this sounds hardware problem, not software, if computer shut down @ time.

think it's old-style crt monitor, right? may find degaussing (see manual) help.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
