Thread: ubuntu post install script for thunderbird configuration

hello,

configure thunderbird , add-ons via gui. wondering if add-ons configs can done script instead of gui, dont have manually configure each computer in mass deployment scenario (i add thunderbird configs post install script or that). also, same firefox add-ons...possible?

have experience that?

all settings maintained in profile folder inside home folder: ~/.thunderbird/ , ~/.mozilla/

managed clone email accounts copying generic folder over, information required contained within folders. expect edit these.

maybe create generic email account in thunderbird, specific email address, , grep thunderbird directory it; show these parameters stored.

suspect else may have better idea of how these things can done.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
