hi, i'm build server , want use ubuntu server, have amd64 processor , know can handle 64-bit ubuntu server have been told should use 32-bit version, wondering better. appreciated.

my personal opinion if have 64 bit hardware architecture should use ubuntu in 64 bit edition. running server on ubuntu server 10.04 lts 64 bit without problems. keep in mind not client installation, no gui , no fancy software such flash, can cause problems on different architectures.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
