Unable to open encrypted pages with 11.0.02 on Win7 IE10 system fully updated.

just blank screen "x" in upper left. have searched forum , tried suggestions including:

  1. cleared , reset ie10 settings - no luck
  2. disabled , enabled adobe add-ins - no luck
  3. right click on link , 'save as' or 'open' , others on tool menu - no luck
  4. system restore - no luck
  5. disabled , enabled other add-ins - no luck
  6. my win8 ie10 system opens encrypted pages no problem. set ie10 tab options identically in win7 system - no luck
  7. contacted websites using encryption (bank , credit cards). have no other suggestions.

any other suggestions?

try turning off protected view under edit > preferences >security (enhanced) in adobe reader.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
