Can I control display size?

acrobat x.  when go properties, , additional metadata, screen promptly displays prevents me either going forward or backing out.  note, not lock computer.  problem displays large buttons @ top , bottom extend beyond screen display, , cannot use mouse slide or down access them, in order further computer have go task manager , close out adobe there. 

 

there no opportunities display metadata screen partially before open it.  if acrobat screen displayed partially, additional metatdata screen still comes same size.

 

i have large flat-screen monitor screen size not issue.  need set display size on opening.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
