Collage questions, new file size and settings?
hi,
i’m trying put photo collage in ps printing poster, size 600 x 900 mm. since i’m not use ps i’ve run problems , there need help. i’ll post questions 1 one , can give me help.
1. first issue, settings should use new sheet/file, see how big pictures in collage gets in reality when zooming in sheet. problem if set height , width exact measurements (600x900) , zoom 100% total collage size more 600mm width on screen (same height). how solve this?
2. settings resolution , color mode. how know resolution chose? need highest possible? same color mode, rgb 8bit enough?
3. when saving collage, should save jpg-file? pictures use in collage jpg’s. or lose quality , should save in format?
think that’s now, hope made descriptions of issues clear enough.
thank in advance helping me out!

at size assume 150ppi may suffice.

same color mode, rgb 8bit enough?
quite likely.
working in 16bit advantageous, unless make extreme adjustments or use gradients , soft maks lot may practically imperceptible.
which rgb space work in?
when saving collage, should save jpg-file? pictures use in collage jpg’s. or lose quality , should save in format?
you should save layered file psd, psb or tiff.
i’d recommend use jpg pass on finished flattened image printshop if size restrictions forbid tif.
