Copyfit causes zoom & view position rerest

incopy: problem causes continuous grief working on our copydesk. when zoomed in degree in layout view, editing article copyfit feature in operation, if copyfit status goes green "copyfit" status red "over x lines" status. page view zooms out fit whole page, centered in screen. means text becomes illegibly small, , time wasted zooming in , moving view around rediscover text being edited.

 

my question: there way stop behaviour? allow copyfit status go red, not alter page view/zoom?

not able see on incopy. checked in cs5.5. using custom plugins incopy.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
