Thread: Am I doing this right?

ok want dual boot 11.10 , windows 7 (tired of wine). computer has 2 hard drives, 320 gb has ubuntu currently, , 1 tb using place store files.

doing , want know if approach work. first transferring out of my files 1 tb drive "big pappa" current ubuntu install (as had used 150gb on big pappa , have plenty of room on 320gb). going wipe 1 tb drive clean. next going go bios , create partition out of 1 tb (i disconnecting 320gb while doing in order make sure nothing goes awry, necessary?) making 350gb partition , 650gb partition. going install windows 7 350gb partition , use 650gb storage partition.

conflict @ ubuntu, , how make computer gives me choice between os want run @ boot?

should work?

if disconnect ubuntu drive , install windows on remaining drive, ubuntu not touched. check windows boot properly, shutdown , reconnect ubuntu drive.

need boot ubuntu drive first boot device in bios, , once in ubuntu run command
code:
sudo update-grub
add windows ubuntu grub menu.

should simple, it's long time since used windows, , xp, may have either forgotten something, or out of date.
