Thread: Firefox still running at shutdown

many times when go shut down after running firefox for long time , going several sites linux firefox still running though closed or in other words same thing windows famous doing, having porly programmed apps still running in memory not accessible or available user , message program not responding , have option end or wait or cancel shutdown.

when happens firefox in linux select shutdown anyway , kills firefox , shuts down properly. if don't use firefox , go few site , close don't shutdown problem.
else have problem , if how fix it? not seem harm linux because shuts down without errors or crashing it's annoyance think cause firefox not remember changes because every time try add print icon tool bar goes away after restart firefox.

have linux 10.04 64 bit lts

it's known bug in 10.04 3.6.x version of ff. 'solution' open terminal , type "pkill firefox". https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/lu...ox/+bug/875538

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
