100x client under ms windows xp\7 , 32bit\64bit

diskless better normal hdd ?
how build it?
recommended server specifications?

well depends on hardware have.
diskless local diskless client has hdd on main server , whole network depends on server , network performance 100x clients difficult server normal , basic infrastructure.
didnt found reliable information on how build such system based on windows clients.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
