Thread: Installation Issue

i've tried resolved on linux mint forum no 1 tell me do, thought give chance here. assume same error if tried installing ubuntu. if not, try , install instead.

(it's showing me having striped 1tb hd told not use raid array in bios).

raid disabled, right? why showing don't have 2 500gb hd's?

did buy sata hdds new or them used? know if there once raid installed on 1 or both of drives?

read in recent post, drive retain raid information until forced relese it. i'll , add when find it.

other thought (the mint installation) asking if should create software raid using both disks. that's marked option in first screenshot. option use both drives appears first, not selected option...

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
