Thread: Installing on thumb drive

not sure how start. tell trying do. using start key on portable hard drive (640 bg). have hundreds of portable app work great. trying put ubuntu on there. loaded portable virtual box , work perfect. trying load ubuntu 64 bit , ubuntu 32 bit on there. can use each 1 depending on computer working on. every time load ubuntu load on thumb drive still keeps looking on hard drive. have reloaded several time , have tried options. still looking on hard drive. can me figure out. want thank in advance. keep eye on things being holiday weekend won't till monday. again

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
