Thread: Mail with error "3 incorrect password attempts" on after upgrading to 11.10

hi,
have upgraded hp 6710b laptop 11.04 11.10.
developement machine have postfix installed truecrypt mounts favourite volumes, asking me password on gui login.
every time enter truecrypt password (even if password correct @ first attempt) receive mail same machine telling:

3 incorrect password attempts ; tty=unknown ; pwd=/home/xxx ; user=root ; command=/usr/bin/truecrypt --core-service


encrypted partition mounted , works correctly, message annoying , didn't happen before.
i've read pam problems, don't know if case,

i have same problem , has been going on years. whenever enter password in truecrypt '3 incorrect password attempts' message when log in correctly first time. unacceptable have system set email me when error occurs. happens on ubuntu, debian, linux mint , sabayon. too, believe pam not problem. can truecrypt problem no other authorization forms cause this? anybody, please post remedy situation or other recourse.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
