Thread: Problem opening iMindMap

hi,
i'm new ubuntu (running 11.10) , must admit it's been bit of struggle far. @ present i'm trying open free trial of imindmap. program won't open , 1028 error message. have contacted imindmap support centre , sent following reply:

the simplest resolution issue run imindmap an
administrator (from terminal either su or sudo imindmap).

if not resolve issue user does
not have permissions write neccessary locations, please run
following commands create neccessary locations:

mkdir -m 777 /usr/share/thinkbuzan

explain (in simple terms!!) how this?

try imindmap can't seem installed. did have issues install? able operate?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
