Thread: Shell command for any GUI element?

hei guys,

i've been looking time way make ubuntu show me respecte shell command possible gui element.

image this: need put coursor in front of button, etc , little window giving me shell command button invoke.

let's i'd know how highlight , open wireless context menu in task bar (to generate hotkey.)

possible, yes, far know, difficult.

drop down menus, i'm not sure about, applications should easy in comparison.

@ concept of .desktop files, here, occur in /usr/share/applications. make sort of compiz plugin or something.

sorry i'm being vague , can't of more help, it's big project.

want appeal in programming section of forum @ point, specific bits of project.

afaik, there no package this. may wrong.

wireless hotkey, in ubuntu, hit f10, move along (with arrows) wireless.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
