problem i'm trying pressure sensitivity work on os (specifically gimp.)

using old graphic tablet called "acecad flair usb."

thing don't know if working or not, turns out, tablet wasn't turned on in gimp. when turned on , used this...



weird right? want know more odd? pressure sensitivity works in mypaint!

hate address issue having problem "out of box" bug in tablet. don't know how fix , couldn't understand topic: [link]

let's start oneiric bug affecting gimp. see lauchpad bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...mp/+bug/863154 fix install aapo rantalainen's ppa has oneiric gimp alexia death's fix/patch "turn off history buffer" applied: https://launchpad.net/~aapo-rantalai...26-noghostline

oneiric no longer has wizardpen driver in repositories great mangaged install it. how did manage way? i'm assuming used tabletsetupwizardpen wiki for. if have pressure in mypaint i'm thinking might wizardpen maybe evdev driver instead. evdev driver used instead of wizardpen. idea if interested posting outputs of following commands entered in terminal:

and

xinput list

with lsusb want tablet line. xinput list whole thing.

depending on tablet model newer wizardpen driver should take care of things default. 70-wizardpen.conf , udev rules handle of known older tablets. same should true of evdev driver. link "out of box" stuff obsolete you.
