Thread: Ubuntu 10.04 "No devices available" Cannot connect to internet.


fresh install. network setup won't work whatever reason. didn't recognize wireless card, , without internet cannot install drivers or anything.

/etc/network/interfaces
is follows:

auto lo  iface lo inet loopback
no wlan0 or eth0. if write things in, returns error when run /etc/init.t/networking restart.

ubuntu 10.04 ancient. try 11.10 has more wireless drivers, , more recent ones. also, don't follow instructions old versions of ubuntu unlikely work. 4-year-old instructions.
