Thread: Ubuntu Software Center does not have a "Check for updates" button

ubuntu 11.10, how can there not such button?

i don't understand looking for? check updates in updates apps have installed?

if thats case linux uses integrated update system through update manager apps installed via software center through repositories. if open update manager , newer version avail repo show , prompt update unless have set auto install updates @ point install them you.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
